Become a tour guide for the 2024 World Press Photo Exhibition

Are you good at vividly telling a story to an audience? And do you want to get involved with the World Press Photo exhibition on our campus? We are seeking students to conduct tours of the exhibition.

Each year we host the World Press Photo exhibition at the TU/e campus. Shocking, horrifying, beautiful and breathtaking, the exhibition reaches 4 million people across 100 cities in 45 countries worldwide, showcasing the most extraordinary and fascinating press photos of the year.

This year the exhibition will be on campus from 3-24 September. We will offer free guided tours for which we need enthusiastic students to guide their fellow students and other visitors.

We are looking for (BA/MA) students who:

  • Are passionate about photography and storytelling;
  • Feel confident speaking in front of an audience;
  • Are willing to conduct approximately five tours between September 3 and 24;
  • Are fluent in English and preferably Dutch as well;
  • Can attend the evening course on campus about giving guided tours on September 2;
  • Can independently prepare their own tours, based on written material and by attending the tour-for-guides given by a WPP expert.

Student guides will be compensated for the hours spent giving tours, and for two hours of preparation. Does this sound good to you? Please send an email to Liza at l.s.gloudemans@tue.nl before May 28th, and tell her a little bit about who you are and why you want to be a student tour guide.
