Studium Generale follows the TU/e policy regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), which is based on RIVM guidelines. For Studium Generale, this means that - until further notice - our programs will be offered online as much as possible, with just a few exceptions where we offer offline programs at locations outside the TU/e campus. Please keep an eye on this website for the latest news and updates.
Until April 16th 2021 (end of quartile 3) the following changes will be in effect:
- All planned lectures will only be shown online via livestreams on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
- The films are canceled up to and including Tuesday February 9th, due to the current lockdown. As soon as cinemas are allowed to open their doors again, the Studium Generale films will be shown in Natlab at Kastanjelaan 500 in Eindhoven and not in Filmhuis De Zwarte Doos, because TU/e policy does not allow any social activities to take place on campus in the coming period. The films will be shown in Natlab until at least mid April 2021, so during the entire 3rd quartile. Please note: it is mandatory to buy your ticket(s) online in advance. The ticket price remains € 3.50 for students and these tickets can only be bought via the ticket links on film program pages on this website. Non-students pay the regular Natlab price of € 10.50.
- The World Press Photo exhibition 2020 that was planned to take place in January/February will be postponed to 12 - 31 March 2021. While these event details are naturally subject to measures at that time, we are still hoping to make it possible for you to experience these impressive photos and stories.
