Coronavirus and the SG programs until February 2021

Last verified: Thursday 5 November 2020, 12.00 hrs

Studium Generale follows the TU/e policy regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), which is based on RIVM guidelines. For Studium Generale, this means that - until further notice - our programs will be offered online as much as possible, with just a few exceptions where we offer offline programs at  locations outside the TU/e campus.  Please keep an eye on this website for the latest news and updates.

Until February 2021 the following changes will be in effect:

  • All planned lectures will only be shown online via livestreams on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
  • The films will be shown in Natlab (Kastanjelaan 500 in Eindhoven) from Monday November 23rd until February 1st 2021 and not in Filmhuis De Zwarte Doos. We follow the TU/e policy not to have any social activities on the campus in the coming period. While TU/e policy does not allow us to have any social activities on the campus in the coming period, according to the current government rules, it is possible to visit the Natlab from November 19th onwards.  Thus you can watch the films there that have been selected by our student film committee. Please note: it is mandatory to buy your ticket(s) online in advance. The ticket price remains € 3.50 for students. Non-students pay the regular Natlab price of € 10.50.
  • The ballet classic ‘Black Swan’ will be performed in Parktheater Eindhoven. Students who want to visit this quirky remix of the famous 'Swan Lake' get a considerable discount. As a student you only pay € 10,00 (instead of the regulare rate of € 25,00).
  • The World Press Photo exhibition 2020 will be shown in the Atlas building from 22 January - 12 February 2021. While these event details are naturally subject to measures at that time, we are still hoping to make it posible for you to experience these impressive photos and stories.

SG & USE registration
After watching an entire live streamed program that bears the USE label, it will be possible to register for USE via an online registration form that will be provided during the livestream. More information about SG & USE regulation and conditions can be read on the USE page on this website.
