Lecture

Korean Evening sold out

Tuesday, March 26 2013, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM (sold out)
Gaslab

There’s a good chance that the smartphone, tablet or laptop on which you’re reading this was made in South Korea. And if you’ve never seen PSY with Gangnam style on YouTube... where have you been for the past year? As part of their studies, IE&IS students will visit that Far East country this spring. And to make sure they’re well prepared we’re organizing this country evening. But of course it’s open to all, even if you’re not planning to go to South Korea.

The program: dr. Koen de Ceuster of Leiden University will give a lecture about the recent social and cultural history of South Korea. Of course he’ll also talk about the relationship with North Korea. TM student Joep van Dun describes his half-year exchange program, and there’s an interactive cultural training session by journalist Sang-Ah Yooh.

Entry is free.
