Forget football. At the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Florida, it is all about formulas, functions and one unforgiving Excel test. Director Kristina Kraskov follows six national champions as they prepare to put their skills to the ultimate test.
But Spreadsheets Champions is about much more than spreadsheets. It’s a funny, warm and surprisingly gripping documentary about ambition, competition, nerves and the determination to succeed. It also raises questions about equal opportunities in a world where access to technology is far from equal. Along the way, it also reveals how deeply spreadsheets shape modern life, from business and education to science and engineering.
You may never look at an Excel spreadsheet the same way again.
