One man. Hundreds of beavers. Zero dialogue. This gloriously absurd black-and-white slapstick turns survival in the frozen wilderness into a relentless live-action cartoon. Leave logic at the door, bring your sense of humor and join us for one of the most wonderfully ridiculous films you'll ever see.

Genre: comedy, adventure, slapstick
Language: No dialogue
Length: 1 hr. 48 mins. (2022)

Stranded in a frozen wilderness, an unlucky applejack salesman discovers that survival is hard, trapping is harder and the local wildlife is spectacularly uncooperative. The result is an avalanche of visual gags, absurd traps and humans in wonderfully ridiculous animal costumes.

Mike Cheslik mixes Buster Keaton-style physical comedy, Looney Tunes logic and the trial-and-error rhythm of a video game. Made on a tiny budget but bursting with invention, the film is a joyous reminder of how much cinema can communicate without dialogue.

Sometimes cinema does not need to make sense. It just needs hundreds of beavers.

Awards
The film won Best Director (Mike Cheslik) at the 2023 Phoenix Film Festival and Best Narrative Feature at the 2023 Kansas City FilmFest International. It also received the Bronze Audience Award for Best International Feature at the 2023 Fantasia International Film Festival.
