What if the only people who could stop an AI apocalypse were a bunch of strangers in a diner? In Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die, Sam Rockwell plays a mysterious time traveler on a mission to save humanity. What follows is a fantastic chaotic mix of sci-fi, action and dark humor, with some thought-provoking questions about our increasingly digital lives thrown in. Buckle up!

Genre: science fiction, comedy, action
Language: English, subtitles: Dutch
Length: 2 hrs. 15 mins. (2026)

A mysterious man claiming to be from the future bursts into a Los Angeles diner and insists that the people inside are exactly the team he needs to save humanity. From there, Gore Verbinski launches into a wildly energetic mix of science fiction, action and dark comedy, with Sam Rockwell at the center of the chaos.

Behind the mayhem is a very current anxiety: what are AI, social media and permanent screen time doing to the way we think, connect and live? The film has plenty to say, but it never forgets that its first job is to entertain.

Think Black Mirror with the brakes removed.

Awards
The film won the Cariddi d’Oro for Best Film at the 2026 Taormina International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie at the 2026 Critics Choice Super Awards.
