You can't think well on an empty stomach. So come eat your fries and sharpen your thinking at this greasy philosophy workshop.
In our new Philosophy and Fries workshop series, we invite a philosopher to campus to enlighten your mind while you indulge in fried goodies. Once both your body and your brain have been fed, you and your fellow students will be able to approach philosophical topics with a fresh (fried) perspective.
Edition 1: Croquettes and Conspiracies
In this first edition of Philosophy and Fries, philosopher Harmen Ghijsen will enlighten you about the (non)sense of conspiracy thinking.
Believers in conspiracy theories are hard to convince that they are wrong, and their ideas are having an increasingly disruptive effect on our society. So, what’s wrong with the way they think? Are their positions as unreasonable as they seem? Harmen will show you that you may not be as far from conspiracy thinking as you believe.
Only students can attend. Here you can find more info about the rules for workshops.
SG & USE registration
Please register for SG&USE at the workshop by scanning your student ID at the venue prior to the start of the workshop.
