Set in 1980s New York, the friendship between Dog and Robot is put to the test in this heartwarming adventure filled with humor, friendship, and nostalgic pop culture. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.

Dog lives alone in Manhattan, but he is tired of being alone. So, he orders and builds his own robot. Soon Dog and Robot become best friends and set out to explore New York together. But after a beautiful day at the beach, disaster strikes and they are separated. Dog struggles to reunite with his robot buddy, while Robot continues to dream of their adventures together. Robot Dreams, directed by Pablo Berger (Blancanieves), had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prix at Annecy, the most important international animation festival. 

The Student Film Committee recommends this movie because: “It's heartwarming and a masterclass in visual storytelling. Containing no dialogue, it is nevertheless crystal clear what is going on in the movie at all times. Come watch it and it will melt your heart!”

Awards 
The film was nominated for and won many awards, including Best Film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
