In 2200, private investigator Aline Ruby and android Carlos Rivera chase a notorious hacker on Mars, unveiling a tale of corruption, brain farms, and a missing girl with a universe-changing secret.

Genre: animation, sci-fi, thriller
Language: French, subtitles: English

The year is 2200. Private investigator Aline Ruby works with her partner Carlos Rivera, who has been dead for five years, but whose memories and likeness live on in android form. When a wealthy businessman hires them to track down a notorious hacker, they end up on Mars in a dark conspiracy involving brain farms, corruption, and a missing girl who holds a secret about the robots that threatens to change the universe forever.

Mars Express won 3 awards and was nominated for five awards, including Best Feature, at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Reviews
“It’s a technically accomplished work. The score is nervy pulsing and electronic, adding to the propulsion and tension of the storytelling.” Screendaily

“Elon Musk's fantasy becomes reality in this sci-fi noir”  NRC

“It is dense and overflowing with concepts and ideas, but also thrilling, with great action. The film has compelling drama and a world rich in lore and detail, and it is also just a lot of fun to watch.” Slashfilm
