Kaboom hits campus. The animation festival lands at TU/e with 9 out the 13 winning films, packed with epic frames and electric stories. From mind-bending visuals to powerful, poetic tales, this is your chance to experience the very best of Kaboom 2025, right here on campus.

The program will be preceded by an introduction.

Today you will see nine of the thirteen award-winning films of Kaboom Animation Festival 2025. They present the best of current animation and many earned international awards, including Scars We Love (Raphaël Jouzeau, 2024) which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and the Dutch film Mother’s Child (Naomi Noir, 2024), which won the jury prize at Animafest Zagreb.

Kaboom Animation Festival is the one-stop-shop for the latest and greatest in all things animated. From cutting-edge experimental arthouse to colorful storytelling, Kaboom caters to everyone’s animation needs. 
The next edition of Kaboom Animation Festival takes place from 13 until 22 March , 2026 in Utrecht, Amsterdam and online.

The films will be introduced by Maarten van Gageldonk, Head of Program of Kaboom Animation Festival.

Please be on time
The screening of the program begins promptly at 19:30 (with no pre-film advertisements), and the cinema hall will open at 19:10. We kindly request that you arrive at the ticket counter at least 10 minutes before the start of the film to ensure a smooth and timely experience for all.
