Acquaint yourself hands-on with a variety of painting styles and techniques in this workshop.
It’s not about creating a painting in the classical sense, but about discovering what working visually could mean to you. Intuition and sense are key in this.
During the four meetings the following themes will be addressed:
- Painting intuitively; working from your gut and impulse
- Pick an art movement; using the available literature, you’ll chose to create a piece in a specific way
- Painting matter; learn to paint with unusual materials and how to let the material speak
- Action painting; an expressive and dynamic way of painting
The workshop is taught by visual artist and teacher Remko Leeuw.
