Maison du Malheur sold out

Thursday, November 28 2013, 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM (sold out)
Gaslab

The stage is alive with ancient jazz and smokin’ rock & roll! The public is electrified, and you’ll want to dance till you drop. That’s Maison du Malheur, a seven headed musical beast centered around Amsterdam songwriter J.P. Mesker. The band merges prewar drumbeats, honky-tonk pianos and blaring brass into the loosest, most danceable band in the land. Not just during their performances, but also on disc, MduM is unique. Songs with a deep groove, a strong sense of swing and a sound that’s full of color. Maison du Malheur keeps on swinging to the max where Howlin’ Wolf and Fats Domino stop.

Even while they were giving 100 live shows all over Europe, Maison du Malheur still had time to record a new album. They made the music of a global commercial for Heineken, and on top of all that they’re also at North Sea Jazz. Maison du Malheur breaks right through all the boundaries. Don’t miss them!
