Noud van der Bas
Wednesday, December 14 2011, 11:45 AM - 11:30 AM (sold out)
Blauwe Zaal Auditorium

Each day, more than ten million mothers worldwide struggle with their families to survive in an environment of war. These mothers play a crucial role in the survival of their families, but as women they are extremely vulnerable in armed conflicts.

Noud van der Bas (Netherlands Red Cross) discusses the difficult conditions and the risks these mothers have to face . He explains how a humanitarian aid agency such as the Red Cross can  help mothers to survive, become self-supporting, generate an income, and find missing relatives who have gotten lost in the chaos.

Check this year’s Serious Request which has ‘Mothers affected by war’ as its theme.
