Come and dive into the depths of The Wild North Sea! This captivating documentary takes you beneath the water’s surface with experienced diver and cameraman Peter van Rodijnen, who has spent the past 20 years filming seas across the globe. Inspired by legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau, Peter decides to capture the unknown underwater world of the North Sea.

Genre: Documentary
Language Dutch, subtitles: English

So close, but at the same time so unknown: the North Sea, the largest nature reserve in the Netherlands! As Peter embarks on his underwater journey, he soon faces great challenges. He must deal with dangerous and powerful currents, poor visibility in murky water and violent storms, but his determination to unravel the secrets of this untamed wonder of nature never wavers.

Initially, he thought his focus would be on filming the large, iconic species of the North Sea, such as the basking shark, orca and tuna. However, he soon realized that these creatures are just one part of a much larger and interconnected system, where the health of the North Sea depends on all its inhabitants - from the tiniest plankton to the largest shark.

Through breathtaking and eye-opening footage, Peter van Rodijnen unveils a spectacular underwater world, largely unknown to most of us. It's an unforgettable adventure for all ages!
