This reconstruction of the Green Revolution in May 2009 is based on animated blogs and tweets from Iran, when there was optimism about the dawn of a democratic future. Teheran turned green, the color of hope and symbol of recognition among the hopeful supporters of presidential candidate Mousavi. However, the Election Day was an immense deception. A lack of ballot papers and closed election offices lead to the accusation of vote-rigging by the current president Ahmadinejad. It resulted in a dark period. Mousavi was grounded, Ahmadinejad seized power and protests were brutally broken up by government militia.
