Based on true events, Sully tells the story of the successful emergency landing by pilot Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) on the Hudson River. Despite saving the lives of everyone on board, his actions are questioned.
On January 15, 2009 the world witnesses a miracle on the Hudson River. Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger makes an emergency landing with his plane on the ice cold river, saving the lives of the 155 people on board. However, while Sully is praised by the public and the media for his extraordinary rescue, in the background an investigation that could destroy his reputation and career unfolds.
