Join us for an exciting screening of a variety of short films that explore the theme of space and everything else that might be out there. Expand your horizons as you immerse yourself in a collection of amusing, quirky, and visually stunning animations.

The films will be introduced by Maarten van Gageldonk, Head of Program of the Kaboom Animation Festival. 

Kaboom Animation Festival
This program is organized in collaboration with Kaboom Animation Festivaland it’s a warm-up for the Kaboom Animation Festival, which will take place from April 5-14.

Kaboom Animation Festival is the one-stop-shop for the latest and greatest in all things animated. From cutting-edge experimental arthouse to colorful storytelling, Kaboom caters to everyone’s animation needs. The festival is a progressive and inclusive festival in the Netherlands that celebrates animation in all its glorious shapes and sizes. It’s the place where auteurs are encouraged to push us out of our comfort zones by presenting us with their thought-provoking art, mind-blowing design efforts and provocative experiments.

This film will be shown at Filmhuis De Zwarte Doos. Buying a ticket online in advance is mandatory if you want to attend this film. You can buy a ticket by clicking on the black “order” button on this page.

Please be on time
The screening of the film starts at 19:30 sharp (no pre-film advertisements) and the cinema hall opens at 19:10. We kindly ask you to be at the ticket counter at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the film. This is to ensure the film starts and ends on time. 

The Studium Generale film program is selected in collaboration with the Student Film Committee and Natlab.
