Oliver Stone, VS 2016
Language: english – subtitles: dutch

The electrifying thriller Snowden reveals the story of Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the former NSA employee who leaked thousands of classified documents to the press and instantly became one of the most wanted people in the world.

Oscar winning director Oliver Stone brings an important and fascinating true story to the big screen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, 500 Days of Summer, The Dark Knight Rises) portrays former NSA employee Edward Snowden, who, as his star rises in the intelligence services, becomes increasingly conflicted about the justification of his work. When he leaks thousands of classified documents to the press, he immediately becomes one of the most wanted people in the world. To some, Edward Snowden is a hero. To others he is a traitor. Whatever you believe, the compelling story about his motives, the people he left behind, and the way in which he achieved it, makes for an intriguing film.
