Hidden Figures is the untold story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe), three brilliant African-American women who worked at NASA.
They were the brains behind one of the biggest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into space. An impressive achievement that gave the US courage again, turned the relations in the ‘Space Race’ completely upside down and launched the world into motion. The visionary trio crossed all gender and racial lines, and inspired generations to dream big. The film was nominated for three Oscars®, in the categories: Best Film, Best Female Support (Octavia Spencer), and Best Adapted Screenplay.
