Forever the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, so expect to see drugs, screaming women, glitter, glamour, drama and lots of music. Sit back and enjoy this colorful ride through the life of one of the most famous -and infamous- music icons in music history.

Language:  English, subtitles:  Dutch

Elvis follows the story of notorious rock 'n' roll star Elvis Presley seen through the eyes of his controversial manager, who happens to be a ‘Brabander’ from Breda, born Dries van Kuijk, who called himself Colonel Tom Parker. The film explores Elvis Presley's highs and lows and doesn’t shy away from the ugly side of fame and the predators that surrounded him.
The combination of the unusual perspective of his manager, brilliantly played by Tom Hanks, and director Baz Luhrmann’s rich visual style make this film a big screen must-see.
The film received a standing ovation of no less than 12 minutes at the Cannes Film Festival.

Reviews:

“Shocking the King Back to Life”.  The New York Times.

“Blistering, turbocharged chronicle of the King”. The Guardian.

‘Elvis’ Is Ecstatic, Jittery, Horny, Tireless and Tragic. Just Like the King - Rolling Stones.

"A sweaty, seductive American fairytale with Elvis' manager (Tom Hanks) as the evil stepmother, while the King is the princess locked in his tower in Las Vegas." - **** The Independent
