Isn’t it better to steal a great concept than to invent a sad new one? We’re stealing tiny desk concerts - and we’re doing it right - by bringing the young Soul musician Gaidaa to the office.
Come enjoy some great music during your lunch break. Gaidaa is a young Sudanese / Dutch musician who grew up in Eindhoven. She makes neo-soul and R&B that sounds intimate and fresh. Gaidaa’s breakthrough came when she performed her single "Morning Blue" on the international music platform COLORS. In the Netherlands, she gained attention when Eefje de Visser invited her for the television program VPRO On Stage.
Gaidaa released her debut EP Overture in 2020, with positive reviews from Pitchfork and The Fader, amongst others.
So, bring along some non-crunchy sandwiches and find us at the Auditorium for a good show. Our colleagues from TU/e’s independent online media platform Cursor are kindly letting us reconstruct their office for this occasion, and they will be your hosts.
