What would you do if you lost someone in a place where nothing feels real?
Sirat pulls you into a hypnotic journey through the Moroccan desert, where a father searches for his missing daughter in a world of illegal raves, endless roads, and shifting realities. What begins as a search becomes an intense, sensory experience with tension that slowly gets under your skin.

Genre: drama, adventure, music
Language: multilingual, subtitles: English
Length: 1 hr 54 mins (2025)

A mesmerizing thriller by Spanish director Oliver Laxe about a father searching for his missing daughter at a rave in Morocco. No one there seems to know her, but he refuses to give up and joins a group of partygoers who spend days driving straight through the desert in two massive RVs, on their way to the next rave. What follows is an ominous journey through a desolate landscape.
Think Mad Max meets Spoorloos, with a pulsating techno soundtrack that makes the theater shake to its foundations.

A brutal reminder that the journey can be more important than the destination, Sirat is an unforgettable exercise in tension that wallops its audience like a deafening blast of bass to the face.

Awards
Sirat won the Jury Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
