In One Battle After Another, jaded revolutionary Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) lives in hiding with his self-reliant daughter Willa (Infiniti), constantly looking over his shoulder. The past, however, refuses to stay buried. When Bob’s arch-enemy (Sean Penn) resurfaces after sixteen years and Willa disappears, the fragile calm collapses.
What follows is an action-packed black comedy in which a group of former rebels must reunite and both father and daughter are confronted with the consequences of a turbulent past.
One Battle After Another is the latest film of director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood). It’s about idealism, betrayal, and revenge. With an absolute top cast it promises to be a raw, hallucinatory ride.
