SG@Plugged Festival: Turfy Gang

Donderdag 6 juni , 16:30
Koeveld, TU/e campus
Prijs: Gratis (Student) Gratis (Anderen)

One of the best free outdoor music festivals in Eindhoven and beyond. Powered by CHEOPS and Studium Generale: chill, rock and dance to the likes of the headliners Turfy Gang and a still secret headliner on the mainstage...

A couple of years ago, some music loving students from the Built Environment study association CHEOPS decided to organize something extraordinary: a festival that would resonate with the vibrant spirit of Eindhoven's student community. Fast forward to today, and behold the magnificent result: Plugged Festival, a standout gem among the city's music festivals, and it won't cost you a cent to experience its magic.

Picture this: a sun-soaked day, a pulsating atmosphere, and a lineup bursting with young, gifted artists ready to ignite the stage. Oh, and did we mention free admission? Yes, we did.

On the mainstage, there’s gonna be a great headliner who will be revealed by Plugged Festival on 28th of April, so stay tuned.

From dorm room jams to Spotify stardom
On the SG-stage we present Turfy Gang: a crew of rapping ‘prep students’ with oh so addictive music. Since 2021, these 7 students Straight Outta Maarssen, have been conquering the charts. Turfy Gang's musical career started with a joke that got out of hand. The boys made their own music to listen to while chilling. They had a Sonos device to play their music on, but Sonos could not connect to Soundcloud. So, they had to upload their homemade records to Spotify. There, entirely by chance, their music turned out to be incredibly popular. With their energy and student vibe, we bet you’ll be dancing and chilling like the student UR.

Some random Plugged stats
In 2016, the Plugged Festival was ranked number one in the Festival Atlas 2016 in the innovation index: no repetition of the same artists at the festival.

In the past, Plugged has seen acts like Lookapony, Mozes and the Firstborn, Canshaker Pi, Tape Toy, The Cool Quest, Waltzburg, Caïro Liberation Front, Fokke Simons and Flaire. And for the sixth year in a row -- well, there was a party pooper named Corona tucked in between, of course -- Studium Generale will host the small stage with student acts and also bands with TU/e-students in them (bands to be announced on this website soon).

No ticket reservations required. Just bring yourself, your friends, and good vibes.

So…let’s get prepped to get plugged.
