Step off campus and into Eindhoven’s cultural scene. During this first edition of Downtown Culture, you and fellow students will visit Pand P, one of Parktheater’s venues, for Yes-Girl: an acclaimed theatre performance full of music, dance and raw, poetic storytelling.
Before the performance starts, we’ll gather for a drink and short introduction by a member of the Parktheater team. They’ll tell us more about Parktheater, Pand P, and the performance we are about to see. It is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow students, discover a cultural hotspot, and get a taste of what Eindhoven has to offer.
The theater play we’ll be watching is Yes-Girl by Gavin-Viano. Combining music, dance and performance, the show tells the story of a seemingly loving relationship that gradually takes a darker turn. Through a raw and poetic theatrical language, Yes-Girl explores themes such as love, control, misogyny and femicide, and asks how unequal power dynamics can slowly develop within intimate relationships.
