AI has become a strategic asset for economic productivity, sustainable development, geopolitical influence and military capabilities worldwide. The Netherlands’ international AI strategy sets out how we navigate this new reality. Today’s guest speaker is Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tom Berendsen, who will share insights into the opportunities, challenges, and global implications of AI policy. After the talk, there will be plenty of room for an extensive Q&A, so bring your questions and join the conversation.

AI creates both new opportunities and new risks. This strategy protects and promotes democratic values and human rights worldwide, enabling safe and responsible AI development and deployment from Europe to Asia.
We can only achieve this through international partnerships and coalitions of countries, technical communities, civil society and the private sector that share these objectives.
