Ignatov Brothers Tickle the Ivories

Piano solo, quatre mains, famous classical works, and their own unique compositions, with the Ignatov twins your eyes and ears will be doubly delighted. 

Hassan and Ibrahim Ignatov, both 20 years old, are two highly talented pianists from Bulgaria. Their musical journey began at the age of five under the guidance of their father, sparking their passion for the piano. By age 10, they were already representing Bulgaria in the Junior Eurovision Song contest 2014, where they clinched 2nd prize. They released their first collection of original compositions at just 11 years old. Since October 2018, they have been studying as young students (Jungstudenten) in the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, Germany.

And currently, they are continuing their musical education under the tutelage of Prof. Celis and Prof. Riemsdijk at the Conservatorium Maastricht. 

Their musical prowess has taken them far and wide, representing Bulgaria in numerous TV shows, prestigious competitions, and concerts across Europe, USA, Russia, Malta, Poland, Turkey, North Macedonia, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, UAE, France, Bulgaria and other countries.

The repertoire that will be performed today
1.      Hassan and Ibrahim will start their performance with one of their own compositions for four hands, ‘Celebration in Deliorman’. 

2.      Hassan will continue with:

·        Paganini-Liszt - Etude No. 2

·        F. Chopin - Polonaise Op. 53 ‘Heroic’

3.      Ibrahim will continue with:

·        S. Rachmaninoff - Prelude Op. 23, No. 5 

·        Khachaturian-Cziffra - Sabre Dance

4.      During the finale, Hassan and Ibrahim will perform their own composition for four hands, ‘Sun and Moon’.
