We are thrilled to kick off this year’s Storioni Festival right here at TU/e! Get ready for a musical rollercoaster — from Haydn’s refined elegance, to Ginastera’s fiery Argentine rhythms, to Shostakovich’s gripping emotional depths. A concert where classical meets raw energy, and lightness dances with intensity.
We start with Haydn's Piano Trio in E-flat, Hob. XV:29, sparkling and witty, featuring a graceful slow movement and a lively, playful finale. Then we head south with Ginastera’s Pampeana No. 2, a wild ride across the Argentine pampas, bursting with driving rhythms and passionate melodies. Finally, we dive into the emotional world of Shostakovich’s Third String Quartet, a piece that moves from lightheartedness to dark, biting intensity — a mirror of the turbulent times in which it was composed.

Today, top musicians from around the world join forces in the Blauwe Zaal at TU/e: the renowned French Quatator Iro, the Festival’s namesake Storioni Trio, brilliant cellist Bruno Tobon, and pianist Daniël van der Hoeven.
