Always dreamed of trying ballet but never dared to take that first step? Join us for a fun, no-pressure introduction to the world of classical ballet. No experience needed, just your curiosity and a willingness to move. Bonus: there’ll be live music to dance to!
You’ll be guided by Muriël Kraan, an experienced ballet teacher with 28 years of teaching under her belt. She’ll take you through the basics of ballet technique, posture, and those graceful movements ballet is known for. And yes, you’ll even pick up some fancy French ballet lingo along the way.
What really makes this workshop special? Live music. Ballet pianist Henk van Riel will be right there in the studio, improvising and adjusting his playing to match every stretch and exercise. Muriël and Henk have been working together for years, and this live music combo adds a whole new layer to the experience.
Practical info
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely, not too baggy though, so the teacher can see your alignment. No bare feet and shoes inside, so bring socks (or ballet shoes if you have them, no stress if you don’t).
This workshop is beginner-friendly: no prior experience needed, just willingness to try something new.
