Recently there has been a pessimistic view in the world of architecture on what architecture can achieve and contribute. Architect Andrew Griffin claims there is no reason for pessimism, but argues it’s time for a new way of thinking that does justice to the complex world we live in. Griffin thinks we should bring back hope, adventure and utopia in architecture and suggests using technical experiments and unorthodox solutions in order to achieve this.
Architect Andrew Griffin is partner of JDS Architects .
This lecture is organized by CHEOPS and Studium Generale as part of CHEOPS’ 25th anniversary activities.
