Robotics in our daily life
Robots that interact with us and offer a solution to our technical, social and societal problems. This image used to be science fiction but it is becoming a real possibility. Stefano Stramigioli is professor in Advanced Robotics at the University of Twente. His dream is to create robots that can execute difficult medical operations, help the elderly take a shower or play games with children.
Stramigioli will discuss the progress in the development of robotics, current and future possible non-industrial applications and philosophy about what this could mean to our society.
