Is the mysterious loner Hans just an ordinary poacher, as everybody seems to think, or are there much more dangerous things going on? Three students set out to find the truth and record it on film. But of course there’s a clue to what’s happening in the title of the movie. So we aren’t really surprised when, deep in the Norwegian forest, a giant troll looms up in front of the camera. A title card already told us that the filmmakers had disappeared without trace. So what happened to them?
Comical, dry Scandinavian humor with some exciting moments: Troll Hunter was the big surprise at the last Fantastic Film Festival.
