Visionary architect László Toth trades postwar Europe for America to make a fresh start. László arrives alone in a strange new country and is taken in by his cousin in Pennsylvania. There, after a long time, he gets another chance to work on a major project for influential industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren, who recognizes his exceptional construction talent. But power and a lasting legacy come at a high price.

The Brutalist won no fewer than three Oscars: best actor in lead role (Adrien Brody), best film music (Daniel Blumberg), and best cinematography.

Come and experience this gripping architectural drama that both stuns and electrifies.

Heads-up: it’s a long film, so we’re starting earlier (at 18:15) — and yes, there’s a 15-minute intermission built in.

Awards
With 136 wins and 340 nominations — including an Oscar for Best Actor, a BAFTA for Best Director, and a Golden Globe for Best Film — The Brutalist is an award magnet. And the list goes on.

Reviews
“The Brutalist is a major work of art that asks something from its audience but gives back in spades.” Time Out

“To say I was never bored wouldn’t be quite right. Rather, I was always transfixed.” New York Post

“It’s not a film to devour, but to be devoured by. There’s such a weight to it that it creates its own field of gravity.” The Independent
