In the summer of 1979 the US Air Force closes-off a section of the Area 51 military base. All the materials are shipped by train to a storage depot in Ohio. But the train is stopped by a truck and derailed. A group of kids making their own ‘Super 8’ film spot the wreckage. But there’s quickly a suspicion that it was no accident, because things suddenly start to disappear and strange things are happening. A local sheriff tries to unravel the mystery, but the question is whether he really wants to know the frightening and inhuman truth.
