Historian and tv presenter Hans Goedkoop, himself from Indonesian descent, made this cinematic documentary about the years of history between the East Indies and the Netherlands. Many aspects of the Indonesian influences on the entire Dutch society are discussed: The Indo’s, the Moluccans, but also the veterans and the Totoks, the plantations and the boarding houses.
After the movie there will be a Q&A with the film director Reda van der Putten in the screening room.
