‘Crime’, comedy, music
In 2001 the Swedish directors duo Simonsson and Nilsson made a short film Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers, in which a set of drummers break into someone’s home and start making music with all the things they find there.
Ten years later, there’s now a full-length movie based on that earlier film, made by the same directors and the same cast. But the scenario is more spectacular: this time the drummers aren’t using an apartment, but instead a whole city for their guerrilla concert. Hospital equipment, building machines and human bodies are the percussion instruments on which the musicians do their thing. While at the same time the story follows the police officer Amadeus, who’s trying to track down the ‘music terrorists’.
Hilarious dry humor!
