A young woman, traumatized by a tragic event in her past, seeks out vengeance against those who cross her path.
Cassie had a promising future until a mysterious incident turned her life upside down. Since that moment, nothing in Cassie's life is what it appears to be, and she's living a secret double life. By day, she’s a charismatic, promising young woman, but by night she goes from night club to night club pretending to be drunk in order to lure men into taking her back to their places, only to turn on them when they try to take advantage of her.
Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs from the past. Emerald Fennell (writer and producer of the popular series Killing Eve) makes her directing debut with Promising Young Woman starring Carey Mulligan (Drive).
