Bong Joon-ho, writer and director of Parasite (winner of 4 Oscars), is back with a visually stunning, compelling sci-fi thriller that will make you think.

Genre: dark comedy, sci fi, adventure
Language: English, subtitles: Dutch
Length: 2 hrs. 17 mins.

Unlikely hero Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has a very special job like no other: he is an “Expendable,” a clone who dies over and over again and is revived by his employer and paid a salary in return. But when Mickey decides to take his fate into his own hands, he finds himself diametrically opposed to the system.

Mickey 17, written and directed by Bong Joon Ho, features a star-studded cast including Robert Pattinson (The BatmanTenet) and, Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker). In addition, Oscar-nominated Toni Collette (Hereditary) and Mark Ruffalo (Poor Things) play important roles.

The film finds Bong Joon Ho returning to his forte of daffy sci-fi with a withering social critique at its core, proving along the way that you can never have too many Robert Pattinsons.

Reviews
“The entire spectacle is so unabashedly outrageous that you cannot help but side with its many excesses. The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

“Above all, Mickey 17 is remarkable for the savagery of its satire of 21st-century capitalism.Slate

“For all the cruelty and buffoonery that might surround his hero, Bong lets us in on a revelation: what we’re really watching is a man learning that it’s OK for him to be happy. The Independent
