This summer Studium Generale invited students and TU/e employees to participate in a competition and to visualize their feelings with regards to the theme ‘Back Home’. The results of which can be seen in a exposition that runs parallel to the Bouw in Beeld ‘Back Home’ exhibition in the hall of the main building. Several students contributed and their work gives a very personal and surprising view on this theme. To give you a little preview, we hereby present a poem by PhD Student Sjaña Holloway which is exhibited together with one of her amazing photographs.
Back Home
By Sjaña S. Holloway
Some people are morning people
but me,
I have always savored
the evening sky.
When I’m home
I always look to the sky
and no matter the weather,
it’s a comfort.
to see the sky change color,
to feel the wind pick up a bit,
and see the sun set.
To know wherever I am
the evening sky is too
So,
I am always
close to home.
