“Change the system, not the climate” is a common demand within the climate movement. But what kind of economic system do we actually want? The documentary Outgrow the System explores how we can return to the original meaning of the word economy, and design a system that genuinely manages our scarce resources, instead of consuming them at an alarming rate.
After the screening, a panel of experts will dive into these transformative ideas and discuss them with the audience.

This program includes a documentary screening followed by an interactive panel discussion. By signing up, we kindly ask that you commit to attending the full program.

Genre: Documentary
Language: English, Swedish; subtitles: English

In the post-screening panel discussion we will explore the kind of innovation we need, and how we, as (future) engineers and citizens, living in urban systems and consuming goods, services and resources, can contribute to the building a well-being economy.

Moderator
Dr. Oana Druta, social and cultural geographer, urban planner, and Assistant Professor in the research group Urbanism and Urban Architecture (TU/e).
