One duet, two solos. Meet Polina and Maksim in their encounter between break dance and modern dance , set to the song ‘The End’ by the Doors.

Step away from your busy study or workday and immerse yourself in this performance; a moment to reset, reflect, and experience something completely different.

The End is an experimental dance performance in which dancers Polina and Maksim use their contrasting backgrounds—contemporary dance and breakdance—to explore what happens after a meaningful moment has passed. The piece becomes an open investigation: a search for new movement, unexpected connections, and the shifting emotions that follow an ending.

Through solos and a duet, the dancers treat the stage as a laboratory. They experiment with how two distinct movement languages can meet, challenge each other, and slowly merge. Their performance invites the audience to witness a living exploration, one where the process, curiosity, and discovery are just as important as the outcome.

About the dancers
Polina Skarga is a movement artist who combines contemporary dance with improvisation and energetic practices. She has performed with Marina Abramovic, with several dance groups and continues to develop her own improvisation method in the Netherlands.

Maksim Kuznetsov is a dancer with over 13 years of experience in Breaking and Experimental dance. He has won multiple championships across Europe and is known for his inventive and athletic style.

Together, they create a performance that is playful and thoughtful, perfect for anyone curious about modern dance, whether you’re an experienced viewer or completely new to it.

From May 22 - 24 The Urbandansdagen take place at Parktheater. Polina and Maksim met each other there in the Open Your Mind battle.
