Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons remains one of the most evocative and enduring works in the classical canon. This iconic masterpiece, composed of four violin concertos, vividly captures the essence of spring’s awakening, summer’s heat, autumn’s harvest, and winter’s chill— each season brought to life with great emotional depth.
Written during the Baroque era, The Four Seasons was made to be experienced in grand, resonant spaces—just like Eindhoven’s Catharina Church. With its resonant acoustics, the church offers the perfect setting to hear this music as it was originally intended.
Performed live by The Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands, and featuring Spanish violin virtuoso Enrique Gómez-Cabrero Fernández, this concert is more than just a performance. It’s a chance to step into another time and feel the power of this music that has captivated audiences for centuries.
