Take a break from deadlines and work and dive into this lunch piano concert by Alp Çelik, open to everyone who could use a dose of live music and fresh energy.
Just before exam weeks begin, we invite students, staff, and music lovers to take a well-deserved break with an uplifting lunch concert. Let your mind unwind and recharge as you enjoy an inspiring performance.
Meet Alp Çelik. Studying at TU/e takes talent, and so does studying at a conservatory. Now imagine doing both. Alp combines Mechanical Engineering at TU/e with piano studies at the Conservatory: a true multitalent who brings both precision and creativity to the stage.
We’ll announce the exact program soon, but you can expect works from his current repertoire, including Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, and Chopin.
Born in Paris in 2004 and raised in Istanbul, Alp began playing piano at the age of five. He currently studies at the Tilburg School of Music and Performance Arts with Prof. Vitaly Samoshko, following earlier training at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. He has performed internationally and won prizes at competitions in Portugal, Italy, North Macedonia, and Turkey—including first prize at the Bitola Interfest International Young Pianists Competition. He has also taken part in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Andrei Diev and Ewa Pobłocka.
He is very proud to bring his music to his own university….. and so are we. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
