The Nederlands Studenten Jazz Orkest (NSJO, Dutch Students Jazz Orchestra) is a project orchestra made up entirely of students. Every year, 30 musicians drop everything for two weeks to devote themselves fully to music and go on a big tour of Dutch student cities. Tonight, we welcome them in Eindhoven, right in the center at Dynamo.
This time it’s the jubilee edition: 10 years NSJO. Every year the NSJO brings jazz music in a revolutionary way to an as diverse as possible audience . We had the honor of having the NSJO with Pete Philly a few years ago. This year is going to be special because they are going to combine all the musical styles of previous NSJO editions into one show. From jazz to disco, from soul to funk: something for everyone! All this under the inspiring leadership of NSJO veteran Berend van Deelen, with the extremely talented singer Jordan Roy (known from X-Factor and Better than ever) and the incomparable keyboard player Chelsea Laverne (who has shared the stage with Sven Hammond, Stromae and Candy Dulfer, among others)!
