Join us at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for an evening of powerful live music by a new generation of musicians - for seasoned classical music lovers and curious newcomers alike.
Ninety students from across the Netherlands put their studies on hold for a month to create music at the highest level in the Dutch Student Orchestra. Under the direction of conductor Arjan Tien, the orchestra shares the stage with internationally acclaimed violinist Noa Wildschut.
TU/e students, PhD's and EngD's can use a special SG discount code and pay only €10 for a ticket. Read more below.
The Dutch Student Orchestra will perform two orchestral suites from Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé. In addition, Noa Wildschut appears as soloist in Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2. The programme also includes the world premiere of Durga-Puriya Sonata by composer and trombonist Arjan Linker, winner of the Grachtenfestival Prize 2025.
The theme Untamed reflects the search for freedom, identity, and authenticity in a world shaped by performance pressure and digital expectations. By stepping away from daily routines, these young musicians experience a rare form of freedom: making music together with full focus and passion.
Expect an evening full of energy, virtuosity, and musical intensity.
