TU/e student bands -- let’s bring them back where they belong: on the Band Showdown stage! ESMG Modern -- in collaboration with Plugged, PopEi and Studium Generale -- is excited to present a brand-new edition of this awesome band competition. Get ready as TU/e student bands battle it out for a coveted spot on the SG Stage at Plugged 2025.
Plugged festival will be back on TU/e campus in June to kick off summer vibes with you. Like previous editions, there will be two stages packed with amazing artists and bands that will have you rocking or chilling all day long. Best part? The winner of the Band Showdown gets to perform on the Studium Generale stage at Plugged!
But first, let’s talk about the Band Showdown happening on March 13th at POPEI. Five killer bands will battle it out for that coveted spot at Plugged, and it’s going to be a night full of headbanging, grooving, and singing along. All bands are from ESMG Modern—a mix of student bands (or mostly student bands), ready to blow you away with their talent.
Here’s the deal: no tickets needed! Just bring your friends, grab a beer (or soda), cheer for your favorite band, vote for the winner, and soak up the buzzing vibes.
