Fix holes in your jeans, shorten your shirt, or embellish your jacket! During this activity, you will be guided in repairing or customizing your clothes to fit you (even better)!
During this evening you will learn how to repair and/or customize your clothes. The activity will focus on small repairs, such as fixing holes, ripped seams, worn-out spots, or loose or missing buttons. You can also learn to customize your clothes by shortening hems, adding embroidery, attaching trims, or sewing darts. Sewing machines and various materials for sewing and embellishing will be provided, but don’t forget to bring your own clothes for repair and customization. No previous sewing experience is required!
We will kick off together at 19.00 hrs, and this activity has no fixed end time. Feel free to stay and work on your piece(s) of clothing until 22.00 hrs.
This event is organized in collaboration with Stitch, the fiber arts community for students in Eindhoven. Stitch organizes workshops and activities about anything using fibers or yarns - knitting, crocheting, needle felting, sewing, or embroidery. Stitch also organizes Open Craft Nights where you can work on your own project while socializing with other fiber art enthusiasts; check their website for upcoming events.
