Photo impression | Organ and wind orchestra concert in Auditorium

TU/e's best kept secret was brought to life in a packed auditorium on Sunday, March 12: the organ. The audience enjoyed an impressive organ and wind orchestra concert by TU/e's organist: Jan Verschuren and the student wind orchestra Auletes.

For almost as long as the TU/e has existed, it has had a real pipe organ, donated by Philips in the early 1960s. There is a fascinating story to be told about the organ and its place in our University. And what better way to bring that story alive than to have the organ played again and fill the Auditorium with beautiful long-forgotten sounds and music.

Some reactions from the audience:
"The organ was very interesting. The fact that it was possible to see the mechanics moving while it was playing was great!"

"It was really nice to learn about the history of the auditorium building and its organ. It was even better to hear really good orchestral music, which was also really inspiring because it was played by so many talented people of my age."

“Please repeat.”
