(translation: My grandmother Clara, a Jewish girl in hiding)
In light of Remembrance and Liberation Day (May 4 and 5), Studium Generale and student organization Liberation 040 organized an interview program with Maarten, a student from Eindhoven, and his mother Jolanda who told the impressive story of their (grand)mother: Thanks to a heroic student, a courier for the Resistance, who arranged for grandma Clara to go into hiding in 1943, 8-year-old Clara managed to escape the hands of the Germans and was one of the few members of her Jewish family to survive the horrors of World War II.
